CV (pdf)

I am currently working on a PhD in biocultural anthropology and have recently completed an MS in nutritional sciences from the University of Washington's School of Public Health.  During 2004 I conducted fieldwork with rural and urban living Indo-Fijians in the Fiji Islands.  My dissertation research explores parental investment and diet transition in a context of urbanization.

My specific areas of interest are human behavioral ecology, nutritional anthropology,  the ecology of obesity, and urban anthropology in South Asia and Fiji.  I have worked with Bengali and tribal Khasi Indians, Indo-Fijians, and public school children in Louisiana and Washington.
